OTLEY UKULELE ORCHESTRA

IN SESSION: Monday 7.30pm-9:00pm at Otley Social Club and on Zoom

Established in 2012, Otley Ukulele Orchestra is a fun play along session suitable for newer players and those with more experience… all are welcome! The sessions are led by us (Richard and Jen!) and we teach techniques, tab and new chords as we go along, although a knowledge and ability to play open chords (C, D, E7, F, G, A and Dm, Em, Am etc) is assumed. If you are interested in playing the ukulele and you are a complete beginner, we can teach you! Please contact jennifer@woolpackstudios.co.uk. Jen also teaches small group classes for Beginners Plus (newer or returning players) and Improvers (those looking to develop their skills through learning barchords, tab and new chord changes) CLICK HERE FOR MORE INFORMATION!

We have played at many parties, community and charity events over the years including Otley Carnival and Kirkstall Festival. One of the highlights of our gig year is our Halloween themed night SPOOKULELE which features specially arranged versions of classics such as Ghost Town and Black Magic Woman and some seriously scary outfits!

We are a fun loving and friendly group, and you’re welcome to join us. The group enjoys learning a whole variety of songs from 1980s hits Take On Me to 1970s anthems like The Chain. There are so many songs we love to play!

We run our sessions in 4-6 week blocks. See our calendar for when we are in session

Sessions are £7.20-£8.20 per week depending on whether you pay as you go or sign up for a full block. Come and try out a session for free to see if you like us! We’d love to welcome you. Email jennifer@woolpackstudios.co.uk to arrange or SIGN UP for a pass HERE!
