WOOLPACK MUSIC & ARTS STUDIOS Welcome!

The Woolpack Studios is a community music studio and rehearsal space in the centre of Otley, run by Richard Sabey and Jennifer Pugh. As well as hiring out our space for band rehearsals, we run community music workshops and courses for young people and adults, offer studios recording, music production and instrumental tuition and organise live music events in and around Otley.

We facilitate music events and activities that bring people together and where all are welcome. Music has the ability to enrich everybody’s lives.

COMMUNITY MUSIC SESSIONS FOR ADULTS:

Otley Ukulele Orchestra (Mondays 7.30pm-9:00pm at Otley Social Club)

Rock Orchestra (Tuesdays 8pm-9:30pm at Woolpack Studios)

Woolpack Music Social Club (Wednesday 10:30am-12pm at Woolpack Studios)

Roundhay Ukulele Group (Wednesday 7.30pm-9:00pm at Lidgett Park Methodist Church)

Woolpack Studios Choir (Thursday 7.30pm-9:00pm at Otley Social Club)

Our aim is to make music accessible, inclusive and fun for everyone. We plan our sessions so that there will be something for everyone to have a go at, whilst building confidence and developing new skills along the way. Since 2021, we relocated a couple of our groups to Otley Social Club in order to give everyone more space. Otley Social Club is a lovely venue with plenty of car parking and a licenced bar!

BUS SERVICE FROM OTLEY BUS STATION

Looking for a space to rehearse without annoying the neighbours? We have two rooms fully equipped with PA, drum kit, bass and guitar amplifiers and keyboards. Rates are £15 per hour, with discounts available for block bookings that are paid for in advance. Please see RECORDING & REHEARSAL ROOMS for more info

In our studio we are able to record everyone from solo artists to big bands and everything in between! We are also able to produce songs you have written, adding live or electronic instruments. Recording rates are £30 per hour. Email richard@woolpackstudios.co.uk for more details.

INSTRUMENTAL TUITION

Individual tuition on ukulele, guitar, bass and singing are taught by Jen. Jen also produces music using Logic Pro X and can help you get started with producing your own music using this software. Lessons are £30 per hour. Jen has limited availability after 4pm but please email for further information or to arrange a time! jennifer@woolpackstudios.co.uk

Richard teaches saxophone, clarinet, bass, ukulele and music production (Ableton Live 11 and Cubase) for £30 per hour. Please email richard@woolpackstudios.co.uk for availability or more information.
